What We Do

Our Mission.

We support youth by engaging them in sports programs and life experiences, empowering them to develop a lifetime habit of health and wellness whether in recreational or competitive programs.

Our Opportunity.

Above and beyond a healthy lifestyle, organized youth sports lay the groundwork for essential life skills. Those who participate in youth sports have higher high school graduation and college acceptance rates and go on to live vibrant, successful lives in and outside of their sport.

However, we know that organized and recreational sports can be a large financial undertaking for families. Only 30% of lower-income families have children participating in sports; and young people aged 6-12 involved in sports is at a decade low.

We want to help.

Our Impact.

Determination. Confidence. Teamwork. Community. Involvement in athletics helps young people develop important social and emotional skills, setting them up for success at a crucial time in their development.

At the Chelsea Piers Foundation, we give young people, ages 5 to 16 years, the opportunity to learn and grow through youth sports, regardless of their background or financial situation.

We support youth by engaging them in sports programs and life experiences, empowering them to develop a lifetime habit of health and wellness whether in recreational or competitive programs.

Through your support, we are committed to social impact through youth development. Together, we can bring a winning mindset and transformative impact to the families and young people who need it most in our community.

We achieve this through two core priorities:

We offer scholarships for summer camps, recreational and competitive teams, and seasonal classes in a variety of sports, including ice hockey, figure skating, golf, gymnastics, soccer, swimming, basketball, and more.

We partner with and fund mission-aligned organizations that support healthy lifestyles for children and families in our local communities.
